Course Information

In our service area (Upper Bavaria, Lower Bavaria, and Swabia), Turkish Language and Culture courses are taught at Grundschule, Mittelschule, Realschule, and Gymnasium by specialist teachers appointed by the Turkish Ministry of National Education.
To open a course at a school, parents of at least 12 students must apply to the school administration.
Application forms are sent to schools every year in April?May and distributed to students by classroom teachers or Turkish Language and Culture teachers.
Forms can also be obtained from the Education Attach?. If the student number at a school is insufficient (i.e., fewer than 12), your child may attend a course at a nearby school upon request.
Participation in the course is free of charge. The textbooks and workbooks distributed to students are also free of charge.

Educational Advantages

Students who attend Turkish courses receive a participation certificate. If there is a language barrier in German during the "Qualifizierender Mittelschulabschluss" (QUALI) exam, they can choose Turkish as a foreign language and improve their graduation grade. In addition, students attending these courses can document their Turkish proficiency with an international language certificate at the end of BOS or FOS and ultimately obtain the "Allgemeine Hochschulreife" qualification.

Dear Parents

The strong economic ties between Germany and T?rkiye make it easier for children who know Turkish to find employment. Today it is known that 5,000 German companies invest in T?rkiye and 80,000 different products are sold from T?rkiye to German companies. Already in some professional fields, children are expected to demonstrate that they know Turkish well and can communicate in writing.

For your children?s brighter future, you will make this decision! For a better future, let them learn both German and Turkish, not just one of them.
